In order to ensure that participants get the most value possible out of this process, the certification program will be a small group. There will be no more than six people, so you will have a chance to work closely, get a good deal of individualized attention, and experience this program the way it is meant to be experienced.

The first two days, covering The Compelling Speaker experience and business issues, will be facilitated by Barbara Busey, creator of the program; the third day, on marketing strategies, will feature Andrea Williams, a Success Strategist coach.

Friday

The Compelling Speaker Workshop Immersion:

You will participate in the workshop firsthand, experiencing what all clients go through. You will need to come prepared to deliver a presentation and be prepared to receive extensive coaching and feedback. You will also be expected to start practicing your own coaching and feedback skills during this day. Typical agenda for this workshop day includes delivering:

  • a prepared 5-minute talk
  • two different impromptu presentations
  • an energy exercise
  • a Q&A session

Each individual receives extensive feedback and coaching—from both classmates and the instructor—with an emphasis on specific tips and guidelines designed to help each speaker get even better than he or she already is. All presentations are video-recorded, and all participants get a private opportunity to review their DVDs immediately after they’ve heard their feedback.
