The Compelling Certification teaches you a proven program that adds value and gets immediate, tangible results from participants; it allows you to “hit the ground running” with a complete, comprehensive training course; it’s a business offering that affords you a flexible working life combined with excellent revenue projections; it enables you to still do training or coaching or consulting in other subject areas if you desire; it gives you association with an established, credible brand and an impressive client list; it provides the support of a network of other Certified trainers; and it requires no complicated, long-term legal commitments.
In exchange for this, you have a handful of contractual obligations:
- You must attend the three-day training workshop (in Charlotte, NC) to get the certification. Your hotel and meals are covered in the fee, so your only extra costs will be your transportation—to get to and around in Charlotte.
- You must pay a deposit of one-half the fee at contract signing and the balance two weeks before the training workshop. You can receive a refund (minus some costs) if you choose to cancel after the initial deposit. After the balance is paid, you may reschedule for another date if you can’t make your commitment.
- You must purchase The Compelling Speaker audio CDs to use in your programs (which you can recoup by charging for in your training).
- You are willing to share names of new clients and any evaluations/testimonials you receive so they can be used for national marketing purposes on the web site.
- You are willing to actively engage in the Compelling Speaker Network and share with other certified trainers any ideas, success tips, lessons learned.
- If you ever decide to quit using the CS program, you must inform Barbara Busey in writing, return any unused audio CDs or notebooks, and never use the name or materials again.
- You are prohibited from duplicating the CDs. If you ever get to the point where you want to produce your own CDs, you must show an unmistakable difference in content, format and delivery so as not to be guilty of plagiarism and copyright infringement.
- If you ever decide to quit using the Compelling Speaker audio CD, you are no longer conducting The Compelling Speaker program and must cease using that name, the logo, the materials, etc.
- You are willing to (but not required to) purchase any products produced by Presentation Dynamics—notebooks, books, DVDs, CDs, etc.— at special discounts for use/resale in your training
- You must sign a contract agreeing to all these terms and with the understanding that defaulting on any of the agreement will result in legal action.
